The N-Ferno 6847 FR Dual Compliant Balaclava Face Mask blocks all the elements: earth, wind, fire, and water. Designed with Polartec FR Power Grid fleece, which is a grid-construction knit that minimizes fabric mass and maximizes fabric performance for increased warmth and lighter weight. The interior is hydrophilic to absorb sweat and transfer it outside, while the exterior disperses moisture for more efficient evaporation. The grid design also creates open air channels for improved breathability. This double-standard fabric is tested and certified to meet both NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112 standards for flame-resistant clothing. Also has an ARC rating of CAT 2; 20 cal/cm2 ATPV. Can be worn alone or under hard hats, ski helmets or other head protection. This lightweight thermal liner is chin-length to keep head and ears covered and fits comfortably under helmets or hard hats without feeling too bulky. The outer shell is made with 100% cotton twill to stand up to tough environments. The 100% polyester fleece lining is soft to the touch for comfortable all-day wear. A hook and loop chin strap comfortably secures this winter liner, while four exterior hook and loop straps attach to the interior of a hard hat for a secure attachment and added warmth. This hard hat winter liner has an elastic strip in the forehead area to keep the liner snug against the face to trap body heat in and keep cold out.
